One broken life at a time!

Freeway Ash Grove is a ministry that comes alongside the local church to reach the hard to reach. We go into prisons, homeless shelters, rehabs, mental institutions, and the streets to reach those that are typically outcast by society. Where others see hopelessness we see a future!

Director: Kevin Baker

First Baptist Church

Freeway Ash Grove Men’s houses are where sober men can come and be discipled.  There is a like minded goal to first grow their faith in God, the giver and sustainer of all of our needs. Our program is 1 year long!

The men are required to follow a strict set of rules designed to plug them into Christian fellowship, serving at Freeway, First Baptist Church and the community and provide a place of accountability.

Through the love and grave of God the men’s house is an avenue for these men to dig into God’s Word and give them hope for the future. Teaching them how to deal with their struggles and leaning on their struggles and leaning on their faith in God instead of running to their addictions and what they “know” is crucial.

Weekly Service

Freeway Headquarters in Springfield

(1041 W. Kearney St.)

Dinner: 5:30 p.m.

Service: 6:00 p.m.

We preach and teach the message of the cross. Many people come to Freeway without understanding of the gospel and out first priority is their salvation. Sugar coating is not Freeway’s style. We dive into the teachings of the Gospel, making disciples and focusing on the fact that Jesus is everything. Non-negotiable.

First generation Christians are different form your average church folk. These individuals come from a background that is very different in many ways—morally, ethically, socially—than what we are used to on Sunday mornings. Their church etiquette is skewed, due to a very different and difficult life outside the church. They need to be educated on the basics of right and wrong, while looking through the lens of the Bible (ie. II Timothy 3:16)

When Jesus gets ahold of someone with a criminal background and they accept  Christ, they become men and women with vision, on fire, and bold Christians that you will ever com in contact with. It then becomes out job to encourage, teach warn, assist and correct this new believer on everything they do, according to God’s Holy Word
